Bio
Detroit born in 1953, I have seen, heard and imagined much. From stories of my late Grandmother telling of the Chicago mobsters (stories which are close to home). She would drive the big old gangster cars and hide wanted relatives under her bed at age 14. That was over 100 years ago.
I watched as Detroit burned in the 1968 riots and how the aftermath of those times lasted 40 years to the current days of the re-birth of Detroit. During these times I lived through the development of the modern day world. I have seen the develop-ment of FM radio (what is that) , color TV microwave ovens, fast food restau-rants, space exploration, the calculator, the computer and the cell phones ( where can I find a pay phone?).
I have also traveled over 20 countries exploring great art in St. Petersburg, Lon-don, Paris, Madrid, Mexico City, Toronto, and many museums is the United States including the Smithsonian, the Met and the Great Detroit Museum of Art. To me, art is a place that lets your mind get lost in all of what you have see, heard or imagined with hopes of finding satisfaction when you finally put down the brushes.
Sincerely,
Mark S. Paladino
